 Western Bluebird, male, Sialia mexicana

The Western BB has chestnut colored scapulars, which differentiates it from the Eastern BB. The two species do not share territories.

How lucky to have access to two different Bluebirds. The colors here are more like the Eastern but you have more black on the wings. Very nicely captured in that pine tree.
