Fun concept. I think a much larger aperture could have worked well here to blur as much of the bg as possible. That or a higher POV to eliminate the bg distractions.

You want comments, huh? Hmmm... ok, well... I wasn't going to say anything, but..... your lawn needs mowing. :P

About the image - all good, well exposed, but the background at the top detracts. A higher angle might have been able to get rid of most or all of it. Nice looking dog. :)
