This image is not a bw converted shot but is in colour of a white bird. However, I'm expecting there will be a few people who will consider this to be DNMC as there is no colour represented by the expected spectrum from the breakup of visible light. I know the risk and accept the consequences. I just liked it too much not to enter. I did have this shot but it is just not as good as what I entered even if it does fit the theme better in some eyes.
I took the bird shot for the challenge knowing that the sky was blue but I also knew I could reduce the blue saturation and lighten the sky so it would appear white, which I'm sure is within the basic rules as I applied the processing against the entire image. If I have broken some rule then I should be punished accordingly but I feel safe that nothing was done illegally. I have really no idea just how this will be received but a few hours after rollover should relieve my curiosity.

Beautiful. Wonder who will say that white isn't a color?
I, for one, find all shades (including white and black) colors.
Great in-flight capture. Beautiful shot.
