My impression is that the surrounding shoes are trying to intimidate the little white shoes but because of their placement and the light on them, the white ones are the go-to shoes. Whether that makes them 'safe' or not, I'm not too sure.

Almost seems like the shoes surrounding the pair in the middle are trying to intimidate them. Good idea.
