I'm just wondering if I buy a Canon film SLR and start collecting glass for it, will that glass mount on a Canon DSLR if I go that route later?
I love my G3, but if I want to get into serious photography and have the ability to print at any size (how many mega pixels would it take to fill a billboard?), then it looks like a film SLR may be the way to go for now. By for now, I mean I'm playing with the idea. Its not like I'm going to run out tomorrow and pick up a new camera. I'm just at the curiosity stage...

Yeah, you can use any EF mount lens on any camera with an EF mount.
Basically... EVERY canon SLR and dSLR.
Try and find a clean, well looked after, second hand EOS film camera.
That was the first camera i bought - an EOS 100(qd) film camera.
it came with a 35-135, and a 100-300.
cheap, too. |
