Im just seeing if theres a way to fix this yourself but it seems that my 50mm likes to revert to F7 all the time, I have taken it apart and cleaned the metal connectors but some days it just will not read as anything but F7. Some days i can get 4-10 shots before it gets stuck. Any Ideas?'

Thanks

On the bright side of things it's a super inexpensive lens and you can probably replace it for less than trying to get it fixed.

That might actually be the smartest way to go unless it's something you can take care of yourself.

What are the other settings on the camera? Is this in aperture priority? Is the aperture ring on the lens locked at f/22?

ETA: f/7 ??

When I had that lens, I used to see F/E.E a lot (not f/7.0 though) if I lock the slider to 1.8. Try moving that slider to 2.8 instead. It solved my problem before. It might work for you, too.

Why did you lock it on f/1.8? You'd want to lock it on the smallest aperture.
