I got another stinking ticket, bet I have more than anyone on the site.
No, this isn't something to brag about, but since my best of 2005 is doing terrible, (which I had a good idea it might) I at least hope to be on top in something !!!

So here goes, I have had 9, I have been pulled over 11 time but got warnings for those.....So, who can top that ??

What really bites is that the one I got tonight, I was only going 40 in a 30 !!

I've been pulled over 11 times....but I've only gotten one ticket.

Wait...I've been pulled over 12 times. I got pulled over last week for going too slow, lol.

Cop: Do you realize you were going 15 miles an hour under the Speed limit?
Me: Yes
Cop: What were you doing?
Me: Driving...just cruising around you know.

Lol...she let me go with a warning, even though I don't know how she could've given me a ticket for that. I've been pulled over for lots of random crap; shooting bottle rockets out the window on the highway, having blue lights on my car, unnecesary acceleration, etc.

We talking total ever? Around 28+, 5 on snowmobile (but I got outta a couple in my younger years, when the officer pulled up next to me on a snowmobile and I reached over and hit his kill switch.) About 5 exibition driving tickets, mainly for burn outs. No DWI's though...

Invest in a radar detector. Its the best $125 you will ever spend

To give the cops a good laugh when they pull you over with VASCAR?

Sad thing is that I have a radar, a good one too, Though it's not doing me much good.

I had never even heard of VASCAR, but based upon this quick read it seems to be very vulnerable in court (assuming you're not in some village kangaroo court)

i got two speeding tickets about 10 years ago. One the first was like a year after I had my license went too court with the ticket and got it reduced the points and fine. The second I flew right pass the cop on the highway asked my friend if that was a cop, then a few minutes later after he cought up bam I got a huge ticket. Never speeding after that since, just got a ticket for a stop sign but I know and have witness'es that I did not run it so I am going to take that one to court also. My insurance is low now and i dont want it to go up.

With the exception of school zones, I ALWAYS speed. And not just by a little. I get a ticket only about once every 4 years. I just pay it and consider it the price for being a type-A personality in a hurry.

Thos one is "only" $105.00, I will probably just pay it, court cost around here is more than the ticket.

I don't talk about stuff like that on the internet...they ARE watching...seriously...don't admit to anything on here.

I used to go to court on them but its just such a pain, waste of half a day, and might get it reduced somewhat. Most times you talk to the public defender get it knocked down to 9 over (which keeps it outta your insurance) and pay the fine. But thats kinda up to chance, and the ticket in question. I think the one that Really ticked me was I got pulled over for 1 mile and hour over the posted 30mph. The reason the cop gave me was he was proving an example, since it was the last day of school and he got me right outta the parking lot. I kinda had a phuck-um attitude for a while after that...

VASCAR is just one of several methods used by police that doesn't involve radar. In Pennsylvania, only the State Police are allowed to use radar (unless the law has changed -- they've been talking about allowing municipalities to use radar). Basically the police are sitting in a car and are manually clocking you as you drive over lines on the road.

I've been stopped my share of times, and I did get a ticket *reduced* once by fighting the reliability of VASCAR... but that was it. I wouldn't count on radar to be a "speed freely" investment by any means.

As a side note, when I did own a radar detector many years ago, it did a fine job of detecting every bank ATM machine I was passing! I'd imagine the technology has improved since then...

Some years ago, I was, carefully observing the speedlimit, driving a little two-seater MG through a town in Georgia when I noticed, right on my rear bumper, the local police car. Like any red-blooded American girl of the time, I stompted on the brakes at once.

My last sight of the tailgater was as he was trying to untie himself from the knots he had made in himself and his patrol car.

Ha, funny thread, I just got a ticket on Friday while shooting for Free Study. First one in 8 years. Give me the ribbon guys! I gotta have something to show for it.

Actually they can give you a ticket for that. It's called "mopery on the highway" and they consider it a hazard when your blocking traffic by going too slow. My aunt got this ticket about a month ago. LOL. I think it cost her about $100.
