...since I didn't submit anything. But I was wondering what folks think of this one I had ready to submit, but bailed on at the last second.

| I think this picture would have done fairly well. I'd give it a pretty high score. the only thing that doesn't work for me is the light streak. |

You should have gone for it!
The lighting is really good, I love those highlights along the front edges. The rings in the middle of the bowl are excellent too. |

Yeah, one of the reasons I didn't submit is because my wife pointed out the light streak, I couldn't find a good crop to get rid of it, and I had no time to reshoot.
I'm wishing I had entered it, because looking at it again for the first time in a week, I really like the soft-diffuse lighting on it. Oh, well! |

I think you could get an acceptable crop taking off from the top and right, putting the circles at the upper right 1/3x1/3 intersection...take off from the left if it looks too unbalanced at that point |
