Given the looks of the blue ribbon winner and the poor showing of my entry, perhaps this would have been a better choice.

I think you could be right! Looks like street shots without people fared better than those with people in it!

I do prefer this to your entry (although that was some pretty cool street art.)

Am I allowed to class this as an outtake? It was intended to be my entry although I didn't enter as my internet provider (iinet) went down for 16 hours and when it came back again I had other things happening.

entry - got 9th place with a score of 5.6!

I like "Flagged" a lot, Penny, but I suppose one can't complain about a 9th place finish. ...even though 5.6 is pretty low for a TT photo. Go figure.

Digging up an old thread, but I just came across an editing outtake.

Entry:


Outtake - the difference is in the treatment of the detail level of the foreground pavement, I spent a long time agonising over which was better:

I really enjoyed your entry. I don't seen a significant difference with the outtake, so I'd say you made the right choice

Not much difference. I would have preferred the outtake but would make no difference in voting.
