I was pleased to see that this challenge had some of the best results, voting wise. There were so many photos that I gave high marks to, mainly because they were not bound by any challenge requirements. I didnt submit anything this week because I try to take a week off between challenges but I still notice inconsistencies.

I noticed a slightly disturbing trend though. I think this would of been the best week to figure this out because I didnt submit a photo and the averages were higher than normal. With that said this actually is something you can notice in all the previous challenges.

I wanted to compare the best to the worst of this challenge in terms of voting.

The top 3 shots combined had the following low votes.

12
24
318

Total of 24 low votes, 3 is slightly below average on a typical week this week 3 is really below the average.

On the tail end the last 3 shots had the following combined high votes.

10 5
93
89

Total of 17 really high votes. With the critical voting here I find this to be very inconsistant, 8 and higher are way higher than the average here.

Does anyone think I watch too much X-files :D

I think as the site grows, there will be more and more people who vote either all really low scores or all really high scores. Also people who are new may be voting without much background in photography now that the rules make them do so.
