Ok I forgot all about this site for three years, and just found the link in an old back up. So here i am.

Put 4 images on Alamy last week and got accepted within 2 days. I was shocked to say the least. Now just trying to get some stock shooting done as i know numbers and keyword is what is needed to succeed with Alamy.

I am with Alamy, but it takes time to build an portfolio with them. And the submitting process is slow. Sales are low to, but then there is always the change with them to hit a really big sale.

And now for your daily err, weekly monologue on Alamy, a la snaffles....who is apparently dumber'n a box of rocks. I thought I was getting all kinds of zooms. And uhmm err I wasn't, I was reading the Total Zooms instead of Your Zooms. So zooms and sales so far...nada.

On the plus side I now have 38 images up (yes, more are awaiting QC) and so far 21 views. So I am getting nibbles, just no bites. In the meantime will continue shooting seasonal stuff as that seems to be hot right now! Bahahahahaaa...

Hope all Canucks had a good Canada Day, and an early Happy 'Murrica Day to our buddies south of the border!

New here. I`m also a Creative Collection contributor at Alamy. Sadly, I just started and only have 7 pictures in there. So why the heck Istock photo keep failing my pics while Alamy accepting it? Seems like Alamy is more into art or creative looks while Istock is a fast
photo business machine (simple subjects).

Hmm sorry can't answer your question, but good work getting accepted into the CC at Alamy!

Hey all you Alamy contribs, if you have won a prestigious photography award within the last 12 months, let them know. They do stress the word prestigious, and don't count things like local camera club awards - don't go flaming me, that's what they say themselves.

Meanwhile, as winning a ribbon here is certainly no walk in the park for 99.5% of us, and that dpc is seen as one of the toughest competitive-photography sites around, I might fly Plane of Perspective by them.

wow that sounds like a nice little earner there, have you got a link to your alamy gallery, id love to see what you have on there

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. You can find my work on Alamy here.

This is not the same work I put with microstock agencies. If it was, I believe it would dilute my Alamy sales.
