I want to take the time to publicly thank both Skip and MattO
Skip thank you for taking your time to comment on all of the Sports IV entries and MattO thank you for taking time and offering critiques to any who want them. Both of you have given me the desire to push for Sports Photography and a journalistic approach. I have learned a great deal from both of you (still got a long ways to go) and I appreciate the time you volunteer. Thanks guys.

Matt really helped me out earlier in the year when I had to do a Hockey Team shoot. He and Skip are valuable resources here on DPC. Thanks, Guys.

Skip & MattO - sounds like a crime fighting duo. Or a comedy team. Or one of those new "alternative lifestyle" sitcoms. But I digress. They both rock at helping a brutha out.

ROFL I can always count on Art to make me have to clean my monitor.

Guys I have posted many times how much DPC has helped me over my time here. I try to give back when I can. And I know Skip does as well. I may not be the most PC guy on DPC, and I may be a bit more direct then others like, but as Art so I don't mind helping a brutha out. My other thread is still up and open for people wanting crits.

Thanks again guys for the thank you, but it's really not needed. This isn't something any other member wouldn't do if it were an area they worked in.

Matt

In a funny twist of fate, I only commented on ONE sports photo (because I stumbled across it and it was breathtaking), and it happened to be Skip's.

thanks for the buzz! it was rather serendipitous that my work and dpc collided this past week, and i was truly the benefactor of being at the right place at the right time.

i was really glad to have had the time to go through a challenge that was fairly relevant to me, and i'm glad i was able to help some people out. i really enjoyed the offline conversations i had with those looking for a little more insight into the comments i made. if there's one thing i would encourage people to do if they're going to shoot sports, it would be to push themselves to really put their cameras to work. i know that's not always practical, but when you have an opportunity, take it! don't just settle for the technical precision your camera is capable of.

and don, your comment was all i needed to get through the week! now i just wish you'd hurry up and find my "A" shot ;-)
