Hi.
Has anyone here attempted to write plugins for photoshop? If so, can you please reply here or PM me? I'm interested in knowing more.
Note, I'm not referring to PS scripting.
Thanks,
Paul |

Man, it was forever ago..
I used to have an interesting tool for creating custom effects.(and no, I have no clue what it was called... any help??)
IIRC- it was a matrix of values, and you entered in positive or negative values and it manipulated the image based on some interpretation of that matrix.
I don't remember what it was called, but I do remember that I found myself able to create some very interesting effects..
Sorry, that's all.. (By the way, this was very likely in Photoshop 2.5 LE, not that I remember that too well either.. ) |

It's under Filter>Other>Custom, at least it is in CS3, which is latest I have here @ work. I suspect it hasn't changed for CS4. But that's unrelated to what the OP is asking; o well, a free bump is OK too! |

No. I'm talking about the programming for actual add-ons which would involve the PS SDK. |

Writing Plugins
This is at a MAC site, but I would expect the plugin info to apply to PS for PC as well. |

Thanks. Do you have any experience with it?

I wrote a star filter plugin. Using the Photoshop SDK isn't exactly trivial - took me about 3 months (full time) to create that plugin. ...and it will probably not pay off in this life time. |
