I'm really torn. I've been to Glasto 3 times in the past, and each time I have regretted not having my DSLR.

I have a sweet 70-300mm zoom lens, and I know I could probably get some pretty wicked close up shots of the acts/scenery.

Thing is, Glasto has a tendency to put down a lot of rain and also if I did take my camera I would have to carry it everywhere, plus run the risk of it being stolen.

I'm even considering buying a cheaper DSLR and just taking my lenses (and not my 450d body).

What would you guys do? Take your camera, not take your camera, or take a cheap alternative?

get a really good smaller compact, waterproof camera.

What she said. A camera can distract from concert experience. I suspect that the more camera you take, the more potential it will have for distraction.

I would consider (based entirely on budget) either the 780 IS from Canon, or if you're willing to pop down $400-$500 bux, then I would seriously consider the G11 or S90 (same sensor).

Essentially the 780IS is tiny, and does a good job for about $200 (probably less if you shop), and the G11 is the powerhouse @ $500.. I can't speak well enough of my G9. The S90 is a really good compromise, and keeps the sensor from the G11 (bigger, lower res, better performance), while adding a neat control ring to the front of the camera..

In any case, I do agree, bring a compact and leave the DSLR.

ETA: All of these fit very nicely in a ziplock..
