Hi,

The shots here were taken on Koh Samui Thailand last year.
As I am a longtime very bad photographer I would like to have at least
1 great picture. :)

The photo was taken with a Canon Powrshot A40 (2mp PnS), had to climb
over wet rocks.

I realy like the shadow on the foreground, tried to create some movement in the water (2nd picture) and colored the sky a bit...

What can I do to make this Photo stand out more...

All comments appreciated...

If you want to do something with the photo's, the originals are also online (just click on the 600*800 picture. in the outside link)

the color looks way better in the 2nd. I'd soften it, looks overly sharpened.

i tried the shadow/highlights feature and then upped the brightness slightly and then the contrast a bit...oh and then played with the color balance.

on my lunch so just thought i'd play a bit :)

i also noticed a hugh difference in the way photoshop displays the image and the way my browser (firefox 0.8) displays the image so i over lightened it aLOT to see if i could correct for it.

this version is pretty horrible :) the color on the rocks is almost putrid

@jadin:
Oversharp, hmmm, this is right out of the camera..
Will try something with it to see what it will look like..

@ the-O-Ster: Lunch? It's almost sleepy time here hehe :)
I like the 1st one, the 2nd almost elliminates the shadow effect on the tree, and that's just the thing I like the most about this one...

It's nice to see what different ppl can do to a photo..

More suggestions are welcomed
