First, just let me say, "WOW!!!". Use the Sigma 80-400mm F4.5-5.6 EX OS last night at a local single-A baseball game. A friend of mine just purchased this lens for his Digital Rebel and offered it to me for the weekend to try out. I was just expecting results such as that I get from my Canon EF 70-300mm F4-5.6 II with just an extra 100mm. Boy was I wrong. Now I have to get me one (as soon as I find $1,200.00 somewhere). The OS works wonders. 400mm even on a mono-pod was a little shaky. When you push that shutter button half way down, WOW! It's list everything starts to move in slow motion. I would highly recommend this lens. Granted, it isn't real bright but the OS does make up for some of that. This lens is spectacular!!!

All of these shots were taken with the Sigma 80-400mm except the last 3. The last 3 were taken with my new 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 Compact Hyper Zoom which I am also very, very happy with.

Please leave comments about the photos!

Thanks!

Wow! Great shots Bill! I was wondering about that lens. How fast is the autofocus?

The auto focus is surprisingly fast and doesn't search around. At least I had no issues with that. It is also very easy to manual focus. Very nice and feels real good. This lens is a Cannon though. Very impressive!
