Hi!

Few weeks ago I was told to buy the Sigma EF-500 flash with 300D/10D, only $220 @ B&H - can anyone tell me how that flash will work with 10D or if the Canon's 420EX flash ($165)will be better choice?
Is the 550EX flash worth the money, yes or no?

I plan on using it with canon 17-40 f4L and 70-200 f2.8L IS when/if needed.

Thanks.

I too was thinking of this flash for the Digi rebel that I am bout to buy. Consulted reviews for Sigma flashes on pcphotoreview.com here.

Wasn't imprssed by some of the reviews offered by actual users, so I have decided to stick with 420ex for now. 550ex is way cool, but too much flash for what I need right now.

Read the reviews. It'll help you make up your mind.

I just got the 550ex and I'm still playing with it. I love the high-speed sync!
