I shot this while we were waiting for the guests, friends & relatives to arrive for my Stepfathers' Memorial Service.


It was too sensitive of a moment for camera use, and thank goodness for being able to use the LCD so she couldn't tell I was taking a shot.
(she isn't one that likes pictures being taken of her)
1/20 sec at waist-level.

PP: Auto-contrast, resize & USM.

I think this is a very emotional shot, especially with the context. This doesn't look posed, she looks stoic but you can tell there's pain. The only issue I have is the eye glass glare but otherwise it's a great shot.

what's the ring around her neck? is it his? if so, I'd maybe play with a little bit of creative dodging to highlight it a bit. I agree with Lizzie the reflections a re a little harsh - don't clone them though, since they add to the effect; maybe just burn them a litle so they're not so prominent. Give her a hug for all of us.
