My puppy turned out to love beer. She cleaned up a spill very well. (And I didn't feel bad about wasting beer) |

Some years ago, one of my friends at work, Kevin, bought his first house. He was very overweight (5'9, probably 275lb) and had the great idea to use a push reel mower for his grass as a way to start getting more exercise. While the house was fairly small, the lawn was pretty damn big. Shortly thereafter in late spring, he went out of town for a couple of weeks on business and asked a mutual friend, Al, to look in on his place a couple times a week and to mow the lawn. What followed was prankery taken to a new level. Al decides Kevin's lawn mowing workout needs to get stepped up a notch and stops off at the garden center for some advice and fertilizer. Add in frequent watering, warm weather and plenty of sunshine and about a week after Kevin gets back, he's looking tired and starts to complain, "The grass is growing so fast, I have to mow it every other day...I mow the backyard one day and the front the next and then the back is grown up again...I'm exhausted." No one told him about the fertilizer until the end of the summer. On the upside, he did lose about 30 lb.
Spork wins. |
