I see lots of entries showing 3 of the same things like 3 flowers, 3 goats, 3 trees ect. but very few entries depict 3 different subjects. Mine has 3 different subjects and all are equally important to each other both visually and balance wise yet voters seem to expect 3 of the same things and are voting me down something terrible. The challenge rules do not state that the 3 subjects have to be of the same subject.

I agree and didn't vote down anything with 3 of the same or 3 distinct subjects. The key word being distinct (yet equal per the challenge). If I look at the photo of A with B and C and immediately see it as a photo of A (with B & C simply being background items or non-primary), then it's scored down appropriately. Some shots have 4,5, 6 or more items and then use the title to try and say "these are my three subjects" when the photo does not actually reflect that.
Several though did pull it off, giving equal weight to three same or different subjects. |

I had your exact same problem... but seem to have bounced back.
I dunno, if it looks like the picture is trying to meet the challenge I usually vote based on the image not how well it meets the challenge... ;P |

I actually broke 6.0 for 30 seconds, and then got a 3. Wild fluctuations on votes.

The true meaning of trolls are people who give 1s and many times we'll call 2s trolls. A good number of people believe that that are not many photos on this site deserving of 1s and 2s. And if they are that bad, that they deserve to know why. Giving a perfectly competant photo a score of a 1 with no apparent reason and without comment seems cowardly and "trollish". Thus the trolls.

Well, I could call them mofo's or assholes but I'm a lady (cough). I just think it's odd that I post my high score and 5 idiots come through and give me 1's and 2's. Who are your friends???????
edited: Well I see you are a newbie - only entered 5 challenges and have been on here less than a year - that might explain some of your answer.

Made it back above 6. My votes seemed to have averaged out; I'm not seeing the big swings in high and low votes. Though my grasp on 6 is still tenuous.
