Well, it seems weird doing an introduction...feels like I've been here forever. :-)

I'm Barry, I'm also glad to be a dad!

I enter lots of challenges here, sometimes seriously, sometimes just for fun - in the end it's all good experience.

A few years ago I met Rich (

Hot_Pixel) at a DPC GTG in New Hampshire. He knew this great waterfall we could go to. It was a great waterfall - for the next few days afterward, my legs, back, shoulder, and various other muscles screamed in protest! Yep, the waterfall was great, but the HIKE tore me up. We should do that again. :-D

I've been on a WPL team with Joe (

ace flyman) some time ago...keep an eye on this guy! If he gets rolling he'll put up some sweet numbers. :-)

I live in Virginia now, originally from Michigan. Come to find out, Janine (

Ja-9) hails from the same neck of the woods (way back when). We both have a favorite pier in common. :-)

My choice of processing software is PSP X2 (Paint Shop Pro).

Oh...I also tend to get long-winded.

Well, I live out in the acreage (about 1/2 hour west of Palm Beach) and I work in West Palm, near I-95 and Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. I have lived in Lake Worth, Palm Springs & Greenacres so I know the area pretty well.

I started a photography group on meetup.com last August and we have about 150 members now. Once a month we meet at a different location in PB County somewhere and just take pictures. If you give me enough notice I can plan a meetup around your trip down here. We're going to Flagler Museum for April.

Janine, are you a member of our meetup group? If not, you should join (it's free). You'll then get all of the emails about the newest meetups and latest information. I'm really excited about the April 17th one. First, because it's a great location. Second, my husband will finally join us so he can meet all of my newest friends. Third, and most important, this will be a huge celebration for me because tax season (i.e. working 70 hour weeks for the last 2 months) will be OVER.

By the way, how do I get that adorable pirate smiley guy

Been around for a while. My name is Joe and I'm addicted to DPC. I just enjoy taking pictures. I been using a Mac lately and love it! Programs include cs8, Topaz, hdr program and neat image. Lets have some fun! (Need a copy of the cool Pirates logo.). Maybe we can start a private group over at Flickr so we can share ideas and get critics on our images?.....ace

Instead of flickr, I am going to use a private gallery on my website to post in which all you guys will have access to also. Unless you want me to use flickr, I have an account there also so I can post there as well. Let me know how you guys want me to handle this.

Thinking it would be better to do it on your site. Reason being is I don't really use flickr for the reason that I am not a "pro" So I am not able to upload alot in a short time.

I meant that I was going to post to my site, its not a true photo site, more like a photo bucket webpage. I dont know if I could make it so you could post also, I will look into it. Probably use flickr for all, unless I can figure out to all everyone to post.

Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT - really need a new camera

I have Color Nik Efex Pro, Silver Efex, Viveza, Lucis Art, Redfield filters - such as Perfectum, Fractalius, and a ton more. Flaming Pear flood filter and a bunch of others. Virtual Photographer - which is free, by the way - awesome filters. All the Xero filters - also free. Topaz Adjust. Mystic Light. There are a bunch of others, but these are mostly the ones I use.
