Now that the storm about the recent S C activities is calming down, maybe some of the more adventurous DPC'ers would be interested in a "Crapshoot" speed challenge.
The DPC mainframe already generates a random order of presentation of entries for each voter. It would be pretty easy for S C to roll the dice one time, and award three ribbons to the top three that come up, and present the others in the order that they fall.
I don't see any way to fairly award points in this without disturbing the normal voters range of scores. Maybe no scores would be given, or possibly 7's for the top 3 and 6 for the top 10 would work. No scoring at all and not factoring the challenge into overall challenge results averages would probably be the best, so that it would not change any participants overall average vote received statistic.
It would eliminate that pesky human element in scoring for one challenge, and allow a few who, like me, would possibly never ribbon a chance to shine for a week and to get a little profile perk.

You should get an 'Award' for the most unstumpable Photo Domino player EVER! :-)
Put that on your profile page. :-D |
