This is my stock photography sales statistic for March 2010. You can find a complete list of stock photography agencies that I work with here.

These are for me the best 4 performing stock agencies for March 2010:

1. DepositPhotos
2. Shutterstock
3. Fotolia
4. Dreamstime

March was an OK to good month, but with an decrease of 22% compared to February . It was the best month ever for iStockPhoto, YAYmicro, GraphicLeftovers and Zoonar. DepositPhotos is still my best earner and there is an increase in sale, but more then 90% of the income with DepositPhotos is through the referral and affiliate program.

Wow shutter stock seems to be the one which is most profitable. I'm thinking of istock photos. They seem to be very popular are they a good stock photo site to sell on?
Thanks

Yes! iStockPhoto is a site that I would recommend. The submitting process is a little more cumbersome, but it becomes better when using DeepMeta ( //www.deepmeta.com/ ) for the submitting process. There is a submitting limit of 15 images per week. I have to keep reminding myself to upload there because it is not in my regular work-flow. That is why my portfolio size is way behind compare to the other agencies.

So how much income does this represent?

That's the really interesting question...

Would be interesting, how many photos the portfolio contains, too.

It pays for a new camera, lenses, other photography accessories, and some of my regular domestic bills. My portfolio size at IS is in the moment only 149 images. My complete portfolio is in the moment ~ 1500 images.

With all the agencies you are selling through, I wonder are you also selling on Alamy?

I only have about 100 images at Alamy. I find their submitting process a little painful. So I only upload there if I have nothing else to do. Still waiting for my first sale there.
