I just came across 4 bottles of Aussie Chardonnay. Just might have to crack one open later. Right now I'm covered in egg dye! LOL! |

I am pretty sure that egg dye and wine go together.
If not , they should!!! think blue wine, green wine, I am liking this idea! |

Chinese take-out and cheap Caribbean Rum. Hubby's coming home tonight!!! He's gets to stay for a couple of weeks before he rolls off to Montgomery again.

I would guess that red wine would probably make very good egg dye.
Where's the root beer?

I don't think so. LOL! We got two kinds of pink, but no red. We even got some awful brown. Of course you don't know what you're getting till ya get home. |

The easter egg dyes come in a kit, usually made by Paz, and they're little tablets that you add water & vinegar too. I've never tried to dye an egg with regular food color dye, though I guess it would work. But the tablets usually produce a more vivid color and "take" to the egg really quickly. |

I never knew that, I have been using normal old food dye all these years. Bloody well explains why my eggs look they have been in hospital for a long time!!! |
