So here's the ridiculous... well it amused me anyway:
I found it in a charity shop and I thought "Oh good, a plastic camera and a panoramic one to boot". Then I opened it up to check it was working and found this:
It makes images panoramic by masking off the top and bottom of the frame and puts a panoramic mask into the viewfinder. Nothing in the optics changes when you select panoramic mode. So I now have a camera that automatically makes the letterbox borders that I have such a dislike of!

Some irony in that, for sure. |

After I found the Panox, I promptly found another panorama camera, only this time it actually takes panoramic pictures! It already had an unexposed film in it and I also picked up another film with it, dated 1993.

Can you guess when this was made just by looking at it?
I ran across this useful history of Kodak cameras that includes production dates and film type.

I purchased this in August of 2003. My introduction to digital. In September of 2003 I discovered and joined DPC. I remember my first challenge and some gentle but negative comments, and how they pissed me off. Seems silly now. It took me a bit to take the blinders off, and appreciate others opinions of my images, good or bad. Still don't really enter any challenges, but there are a number of folks here who have fueled my passion for photography.
