a friend. i used to join dpreview.com. she thought the photos have better quality, they have more ghost accounts members there though |

| I registered April 13, 2002. I found about DPC through a review/link from the humor site BBSpot. This is my favorite article there, and this is an old one I co-wrote. There was no Site Council when the site started -- that came some months later, when the it expanded beyond the original circle of friends to include the public. |

Well, I'm not an "old timer" here, but I'll answer it anyway. I participated in some of the photography contests on Worth1000 for a while, but the site as a whole was more geared toward photoshopped creations (some amazing and fun stuff over there, btw) and it never quite clicked with me. I was browsing their forums one day and saw a brief mention of DPChallenge, so I checked it out and it was just what I was looking for. |

Since Feb 2007 - 3 year and a month old.
Actually, Shailesh Vyas  DigiFotoBuddy introduced DPChallenge to me and I am very thankful to him. This is such a great place to learn and grow.

December 8th 2002...My Wife, Sandra and I had identical cameras (almost) and we found the site through the web of course, but the reason I joined was to learn and have fun..and we wanted to have a record of our lives together...the places we have seen and been to, all of the memories that a couple has.. . as we now have been married 8 years tomorrow, March 26th...time sure flies..seems like yesterday.

Since I've been here waaaaaay too long (in internet years anyway), here's some fun number stats instead:
2002 - UID 1 to 5924
2003 - UID 5925 to 15578
2004 - UID 15579 to 31377
2005 - UID 31378 to 50383
2006 - UID 50384 to 70792
2007 - UID 70793 to 88400
2008 - UID 88401 to 102160
2009 - UID 102160 to 113285
2010 - UID 113286 to 115961 so far...
And for giggles, here's another breakdown:
UIDs 1-9 - Jan 2002
UIDs 10-99 - Jan 2002 to Feb 2002
UIDs 100-999 - Feb 2002 to Apr 2002
UIDs 1000-9999 - Apr 2002 to Jul 2003
UIDs 10000-99999 - Jul 2003 to Oct 2008
UIDs 100000-999999 - Oct 2008 to sometime in the future

| Well one of my family members asked if I had seen our nieces pictures on this site...I had said no, then I looked it up and watched her profile page for probably a year or so then I finally decided to join up...It's been a wonderful experience so far...I've learned sooooo much on here... |
