Hi all!
Thought that I should at least say hi.. So, "Hi" to you all!
My name is Miqe Erikzén, a.k.a "Miqe Morbid" or "Morbid" on the internet. I was born 1966 in Uppsala, Sweden. I'm married to Thess since 2001 and I have a teenage daughter born 1988 from a previous marriage and a daughter (December 2004) with my current wife. We live in a small village right between Uppsala and Norrtalje called Knutby (Knotvillage) in Sweden.
I've kept herptiles since the mid-80´s, but then I didn´t keep any venomous reptiles, but animals like the American Cornsnake and similar European snakes.The European herpetofauna has always fascinated me, and the interest for this geografic group of herptiles has been growing over the years. I have made some herpetological fieldtrips to the former Yugoslavia.
The interest for venomous snakes has always been there but I thought that I didn't have the nessecary experience to keep any until late -90´s. In 1996, I got my first "hotsnake", a Vipera aspis as a gift from a friend, and from there.. It got from bad to worse.. And I love it..
Photographing them all, aswell as allmost anything that I find interesting..

Welcome to DPC, Miqe!
I owned a Boa Constrictor for a couple of years when I was a boy. It started getting too expensive to keep him in mice so after a couple of years I sold him back to the pet store owner.
Feeding times always attracted the neighborhood kids!
Jump right on in with the challenges. You will learn a lot about photography on this site. There are a lot of great photographers and helpful people.

When you say 'bad to worse', is that slightly worse, or Australian Snakes............if its the later, well, your crazy........
But then again, you need to be a little mad to be here.........
Art will be along soon.....be careful, if you upset him, he might burn your reptile house..........
But looking forward to your pictures of your pets.........
And welcome, most of us are slightly mad, but its great fun!!!!!!! |
