Yes I had got a Deb comment 4 days back, and it was helpful and inspirational.

Score climbed up to 5.37 for now.

This may upset some of you but I am only giving a 5 to the photographs of an object on a plain white background, if they don't have any other problems. There is just nothing inspiring about the photograph to me.

I understand what you say and it's perfectly your opinion, but there are quite a few photos in this challenge that have a white background and they are very good IMHO.

Magic! I can hardly contain myself. Broke the 7.0 barrier. Will it last? Who cares...:) it makes me happy right now.

While I do agree with you and the ones that have some creativity to them I have rated higher. There is nothing creative or really all the hard about putting a watch in a light box with a solid background and surface, turning on some lights and taking a picture.

He-he. Someone should tell that to the people selling watches on eBay. :-)

I, for one, appreciate the "DMC" comment you left on mine. So far, you are the only commenter who thought my photo met the challenge.

Totally agree, but do consider the challenge description - isn't that pretty much what the challenge has called for?

So what you are saying is, if the shot has a white background it is at best average, even though a large percentage of commercial product shots have just that and the
challenge is for a product shot.

Actually, since his average vote given is just above a 4, those with a white background should be flattered.

Those 1 votes are killers - it takes a long time to build the score back up - even the 5s hurt. :-(

Last day of voting and the score is going down. Still above 7 (barely) but it never fails. On the last day of voting the scores always go down. Coincidence? I think not.

I didn't participate in this one, but I did go into the voting stating that I would comment on every photo. And I succeeded! I have to say that this was one of the best challenges I voted on, there were many great shots.
I was intrigued with the abstract shots - and I did not "DNMC" any of them.
Not sure how all my comments will be recieved, but I did give my opinion on the picture in front of me and did not compare to those already viewed.

Good job and Good Luck to all who submitted. Can't wait to see the final scores.

Thanks very much for your effort - as anyone who has tried that knows, commenting on an entire challenge is, well, challenging! So pat yourself on the back for a job well done!

This is my least voted challenge so far. Not complaining, just an interesting observation...
