I think it would be more what the world is evolving into rather than de-evolving. There is a lot of violence on television and in the news that some part of society are partially desensitized to it, and also see it as a solution to a problem. And with the internet news travels fast, and the fact that things like that get into the media now whereas in the past it could have been hush hushed by the family or the town where it happened.

possibly.
i tend to believe however in what is considered a "civilized" society we would be above this. but im proven wrong hourly as i have eyes and ears.
maybe this is the transision from the industrial revolution to the computer generation. dunno, its hard to fully graph the past as it wasnt as well documented as it is now.
one thing is for sure, considering how far we have come, we sure as hell have a long way to go.. we need our mentality to catch up w/ our technology. |

That almost sounds like a lot of science fiction movies where they have civilized societies with no murder or crime of any kind. I cant imagine a world that could be so completely 'perfect'. It is human nature to destroy the things around itself in some form or another.

thats a very good point. especially for men. men by nature are made to have violent tendancies. its part of the hunter genes. and in society the way things are now there are very few outlets for this aggression. and to make matters worse, all the meat/milk we eat/drink is pumped full of hormones and testosterone so we have even MORE violent tendancies.
ever seen the movie fight club? heh..
