Well just got back from the store with it... and a 17-40 mm lens and a 1.4x, now I need to get a bank loan.
It is not easy to wait for the battery to charge thats for sure.
Well I guess I am reading the manual while i wait...

Thats an awful lot of coin for a hobby. Although I would probbaly have one too if I had the disposable income, right?

Congrats! And jeez! I just ordered the dRebel and if a credit card could cry...

Took a look at your website - you've got some nice stuff there. Pray tell, what lenses do you have?

At least you've covered the basic, everyday shots. ;)

Indeed... but I know plenty of folks who take out loans to spend $22k on a Harley that they ride less than 2000 miles per year, or $10k+ on a personal watercraft that they use a dozen times a year, or $$$$ on jewelry that does nothing but look good, or...
I think $4500 for a machine like that is not out of line for a "main" hobby. I'm darn jealous! got too many remodeling projects going to drop that much this year.

Actually that reminds me I have to put my '97 Ford up for sale. Any luck that beast will bring $3k, & I'm almost home... O wait, that cash is earmarked for the house too. Drat! LOL.

A few decades ago I traded my car for a horse. Shopping was quite a spectacle for a while.

A year or two later I moved from a house into a tipi, with the horse, of course. It was -28º Celsius the day I set up the tipi. I had to break up the ground with a crow bar.

By spring I could hit a mark from 100 feet away with a bow and arrow, on horse-back.

Thirty-thousand dollars later, I found myself horseless and without any means. That's when I took up meditation and writing.

Now, without the horse, I wouldn't have ended up with so much trouble. I wouldn't have this story to tell either.

Now that's a story!
I bet the horse was more reliable than my ford! :-o
