Canon PowerShot Pro 90 IS

1. I changed my profile image yesterday, but my Profile page still shows the old one (I've looked on multiple computers). When I go to preferences, the new image is there. Is this a server cache issue?

2. I submitted the original for validation on my Deep DOF entry minutes after the voting started, but this morning, there's a request for proof on my Home page rather than an "under review" note. Half of the commenters suggested that my image is fake (as expected... bwa-ha-ha!). Possibly related- I never got an email confirmation for that entry after I submitted it (though it was obviously received). The Email Confirmation button is checked in my prefs.

Anybody else having trouble?

1. Did you accidently fail to click on the save button after uploading your new profile pic?

2. To be on the safe side, and expidite validation, you may want to send the original again.

question for you-- did you get the PM I just sent you?

1. Try doing a ctrl-f5 on your profile page - it's probably your browser caching the old image.

2. If your's is the photo I think it is, then we've rerequested you submit your original photo, and isn't a mistake.

Thanks, Manic. I'll resend when I get home tonight.

I did clear hit the save button on my profile pic, and it shows up in Preferences on multiple computers, but not on my profile page. It's unlikely that browser caching would affect 3 computers, but possible I guess.

If you've viewed your profile on all three computers with the old pic, it's 100% plausible. :-)

Yep, it was a cache issue on my profile. It didn't think I had been to DPC on all three computers.

Still doesn't explain why I didn't receive the usual confirmation of submission on my DOF entry, though.
