Ah, when you have two persistantly identical scores you get an identicality bracelet charm which makes anything you like identical to anything else. All ribbons am belong to you! Happy Christmases (they all just came at once). |

Nice! I'm always on the watch for identical (or real close) scores ... but I don't think I've ever had a pair where they were over five! |

Hello gals and guys.
Things slowing down on the bridge in Moab, working only 40̢۪s in the form of 10 hour days, so coming home on weekends. Yesterday we celebrated our Xmass, seams everyone thought I needed to know the date as I received 4 calendars LOL. Next week going north to Idaho, Thursday has my parents marking 50 years together, staying for the weekend, a white Christmas almost guaranteed.
May the holidays find everyone happy and healthy.. Alan |

Anyone remember whose image I homaged with this? It wasn't conscious, but when I was going through the images, I knew it was the best of the lot, and it was similar to a wonderful one from here. I know xion's superb image, but I think there's one even closer. Can't remember, though.
Don can - what say you? |

But I think the one I'm thinking of IS xion's.

Is that the one? I have to say, I really like your version, xianart... it has its own ... um... feeling to it. I would call it the "lonely robot" feeling. |

Agree with Don's assessment. |

I think the bird is closer to Joe's, and the portrait orientation to xion's. An homage to an homage and the original all at once. |

Scoring the portrait-from-behinds, and I'm having a little self-righteous seethe. I shot a lovely image, but it had implied nudity (in the shower, but from shoulders up). Submitted it, and then noticed - subject must be clothed. so I unsubbed. Now I'm seeing nudes or semi-nudes, and growling. Grr..... However, I'm not marking them down. yet. |

Happy anniversary to your parents, Alan, and enjoy your time off! I'm off until next Wednesday afternoon. Lots of family and driving to and fro and much eating with some shopping here and there. |

No snow here, but we do have abundant sunshine which has been seriously lacking for a week. Still a tad soggy and more rain coming next week, but all is well. Mom's train got cancelled but she wisely double booked and has a seat on a bus heading this way. We'll pick her up (my sister and her hubby are here) then head south to my brother's house for the traditional Christmas Eve chili. Happy holidays to all! |

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to all! We're expecting our snow tomorrow (big nor'easter heading our way). Predictions vary but we're getting anywhere from 8 - 20 inches depending on which forecast you believe. They're predicting blizzard like conditions. Fun stuff! |

Changes- changes, sigh. Moab is done. I̢۪m taking the week off, and Monday the 3erd will find me in Salt Lake City. Looks to be a great place to explore my style of photography (whatever that is) and maybe work on earning a yellow hand for a full set. Thank you Don for the recognition in the Lennon challenge.. |

Happy happy to all! I hope you're having superb holiday times, with summer or winter solstice treating you well.
It's been crazy busy here, with finishing sweaters for my nearest and dearest, and then the 'I've a 7 year old' Christmas chaos.
But it's done, but for the house cleaning (which may take the rest of my life).
So, I have a question. Do I submit eye candy or my candy for the free study? I think I'm gong for my candy - as I've never really bothered about scores. That's what I keep on telling myself. Maybe one day I'll believe it. Self respect is more important than high scores. And repeat until the little insecure voice in the back shuts up.
So, I guess I answered my own question. |
