Any interest in planning a day trip out to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve? Post or PM me. I have a couple of weekends in mind March/April.

Raises hand! Have to hope my car gets here by then, though. The boat it is on has had "mechanical difficulties". I'm hoping that doesn't mean it sank.

The other alternative is I do have a Jeep my brother loaned me.... it's road-worthiness is somewhat of an issue but I'm always up for an adventure.

Sounds like fun! I've made that drive in a jeep, great if the weather is nice! Tell you what...throw some bags on your bike and head out to the PCH. We will pick you up in Santa Monica!

Before you hit the road, you guys might want to check this out. Link Not sure if this is the place you were talking about, but you might want to phone ahead for local conditions.

This site has a lot of information about California wild flowers.

I've never used either site for information, but they've been around for several years and appear to be reliable.

You maybe want to go, too? I'll drive. Though if it's the Jeep, you have to bring your sense of adventure (and a AAA card if you have one.)
