...I'm off to a better place.

Just about ready to leave to fly out to AZ to spend an awesome week with my good friend Juliet :)

Wish me luck I don't get hassled by customs lol.

Have fun Dave and remember: Airport security personnel have had their funny bones surgically removed.

At first, I was like "Dammit, another I'm leaving DPC you all suck neener-neener!" type thread.

Now, I am pleasently surprised. Enjoy the warmth.

You going to do some modeling for her while you are there?

Should we send a rescue team if we don't hear from you?

"Fare thee well! And if for ever,
Still for ever, fare thee well!"

...Says the bear to the man who bravely ventures within reach of a woman with combat boots, a Bowie knife, and a shotgun :-)

Ha- I was thinking the same thing and literally groaned as I clicked. Glad to see things weren't what I assumed. I imagine Arizona is going to be quite the shock for you this time of year climate wise, but in a good way. AZ hasn't gotten too insane yet, it's still nice down there. Hope your travels are good and AZ treats you nicely.
I'm curious to see how customs were for you; the update would be nice. I've only experienced them as a US citizen, and I'm unsure as to whether you're a through and through Canuck or an expat, but if you don't have US citizenship I'm definitely interested in your experiences.

Well so far so good, been 2 days and Juliet and I are still breathing. As for the kids, well they got a little annoying so we dropped them off with some very nice people in the middle of the desert.

Well, he is on the plane home. He survived the kids for a week and nearly 1500 miles. I have a funny feeling that he will never complain about going to work again!

Had a great time, we had blizzards, snow, monsoon rain, the start of a tornado, Minus 10 wind chill on the lake, bright sunshine and only used about a packet of bandaids between him and the kids!

We shmoozed and whoozed some people and are now their best friends, so we get to actually go into their wildlife preserve they are building and into the cages with the animals (The girrafes and other animals are from Michael Jackson Never Never ranch and relocated to them) and then (fingers crossed) get to go Out of Africa preserve into the lion splash to video and shoot photos) (Dave said he would take a bank loan out to go to that lol)

The unfortunate bit about the whole trip is that he has the 7D, so he video taped me when i didnt know, mostly when I was singing at the top of lungs, having road rage at the rubber neckers!!! lol

Be sure to read that thread about the wildlife photographer submerging himself in the watering hole. :-)
