I think some HDR tutorials from you would be great.
I'm glad you're taking the high road. If everything you say about yourself is true you sound like a very giving person. I think we as a community should be quicker to recommend the tutorial option to those that may not know about it rather than so quickly go on the defense. I know we mean well and are just trying to protect our own from being taken advantage of, but occasionally we may be unintentionally going on the defense against someone who is of no threat and genuinely meant no harm. Sure some just want a free ride, but some are innocent enough and just want to share their work with such a wonderful community through their member portfolio and member challenges. |

Not sure if one exists, but a tutorial on how to enter your first challenge would be very helpful! I know there's one on how to size your photograph (though it is now out of date due to the size changes) but something a bit more complete, with links to the rules, a couple of basic definitions (DNMC, for instance) and the like might be good. |

You know what, thats a great idea! My friend recently joined and was confused by what to do. Maybe a little tutorial on how things work here as well, as far as voting and whatnot. Ill start on that right away actually.

 mgarsteck, i was harsh to you earlier and i was stressed about other things too. I don't agree to the initial idea of the thread but i sounded rude and i was unhelpfull too. I'm sorry for my other responses and i hope you can make a tutorial to help dpchallenge.

I am really shocked at some of the people here that have got on their high horses and bitched this person out. How dare you. What gives you the right to do that. I am disgusted with you all.
There are many many threads where people have asked for memberships there are many threads that people give out memberships to people that ask.

| You have some fairly nice shots posted to the site. Why not process a few for print media and submit to DPC prints and see what happens? May not give you immediate cash or even a lot, but if you sell even one, it may give you inspiration to go forward in that pursuit and you may find it rewarding as well as leading to other pursuits. |

| I would like to submit more for dpc prints. I plan on using the credit I have towards my new membership. I'll def put it as a priority but I haven't had much luck with dpc prints. I have a shopping cart on my site but that hasn't done well either. |

I am also suprised and dissapointed at some of the remarks directed at the OP. Very harsh and not something I have ever seen on this site since I have been part of it and I must admit I find it worrying. I see more hostility to others on here too often these days.

after lurking on this thread yesterday let me just chime in that i am very relieved and encouraged by the recent responses to the OP. I found the early criticism very disheartening. i mean i've seen some bitter exchanges in the forums (47 steps anyone?) but I thought this was a new low. Glad to see it "bottomed out" and the kinder segment has weighed in.

| Apparently all this attention towards me helped my website statistics. I normally get only one or two web hits a day, then all of a sudden I had 20 from all over the world. I need to find ways to attract more attention to myself I guess... |
