I have been walking around a prairie most of the day, so this is the first I have hard of it. It is a sad day. He brought a lot of positive changes to the world and the U.S. -- he will be remembered.

A First Class American.
Very likely the finest President of all time.

President Ronald Reagan was a true world leader. In the face of domestic carping by lesser politicians he led America to bring about the collapse of communism. A moral man with a fine sense of humor, and a graceful wit which dumfounded his critics. We have missed his presence and leadership.

He will be missed and remembered forever. The statement put out by Gorbachev says it all. When your foremost enemy has such great things to say about you after your death, you know you've lived your life as an amazing, upstanding person.

Foremost enemy?Gorbachev is considered by 75% of Russians as Russian enemy for ruining the Union...
Reagan did little for the fall of the Soviet Union, they did it themselves...

I don't know that we have to politicize the death of Reagan.

Upon the event of the death of Jimmy Carter, he will likely be remembered as the man who single-handed brought peace to the Middle East. Every upstanding conservative Republican will attest to his greatness. Even our foremost Arab enemies will say great things about him.

Reagan was unquestionably a great leader. There were many things he did of which I was not fond; but his greatness overshadows any unfavorable opinion I may have of him. I pray the U.S. may someday find another president who's ability to lead, sense of values, and understanding of principles equals that of Reagan's.

I'm not a fan of Reagan at all, and tend to think he did some quite damaging things to the country, however one thing he did do was to bring a sense of patriotism and national pride back to Americans after the 1970s when Watergate, the hostage crisis in Iran, and other things left Americans wondering whether their country was great or not.
