Found some 'funky' Neoprene camera straps here Neoprene Camera Straps
Bought one for my 20D, much better than the strap that comes with it !
Edit to add:::: I think there is someone on DPC who sells camera straps but I cant remember who it is !

| i'm using a Op-tech strap which uses neoprene for the neck (can find them on adorama) on my 2 slr's and they are fantastic. Very comfortable, sweat absorbing, little stretchy and my favourite feature is you can unclip the neck stap and then clip the two ends left on the camera together - works great on a tripod for safety without the big strap hanging around to get caught or blown by the wind (shaking your long exposures) |

| I love mine. It took a while to find one that was totally black though. I hate name brands on my straps, although I use a hand-grip most of the time now in studio. |

I just got Tamrac Neoprene straps for both my cameras - I can't believe I waited so long to do so! I always figured that a different strap was a frilly thing to buy, but the difference in comfort is amazing!

| I saw someone with the Optech strap at a shoot last weekend. The thing that concerns me is the snap - clip things. There is no safety on them. If one of them opens accidentally, your camera and lens are taking a fall. Ive heard horror stories about the clip on the Sling Shot bags opening (I actually have one of those), and at least in those your equipment is at least in a cushioned bag. Has anyone had that happen with an Optech strap? |

The only case I'm aware off offhand was with the one Slippy had. I have an AW100 for 2 years now and no problem. Planning on upgrading to the AW202 when it comes out in about a month.

The clips are pretty well protected against accidental opening and it takes some pressure to open them. Been using one for a while now with no problems. |

If you're really worried about them opening, it'd be easy enough to zip-tie them together - no chance that they'd come open then.
I was concerned about that when I first bought my straps, but after playing with them, I think it's pretty unlikely to happen.

If you have a Smugmug account you can get a free Smugmug neoprene camera strap just for asking. They're great high-quality straps too. We have them on all of our cameras. They're much more comfortable than the straps that came with our Canon cameras.
For a long time they were giving them away to anyone that asked, but they gave away so many and were so flooded with requests that now they only give them to subscribers.
