Photo Shootout between the three photogs
Hadn't seen it on here yet, but the idea seems interesting.

I would like to see this in action but 1 I don't know where it is and 2 I don't think I would be able to get there anyway.

Well isn't that inconvenient for all the photographers on this site.

I was posting it largely because there are large name photographers there (one of which from DPC). I figured people would be interested in things A because Strobist is an oft linked to place (who himself links to Arias (who has been linked to on DPC as well)) and B because most people here are familiar with Joey. The idea behind the "contest" is interesting as well and I thought it might stir interest. Just because you can't watch it live doesn't mean there won't be videos, or blogs, or results, or photos, or.... Come on, this is the information age.

Anyway, if I see anything worthwhile put up I'll re-post it here.

Yeah, let me book my trip now to Dubai so I can see 3 photographers play in a project runway style speed challenge. Does anyone know if there are any good hotel or airfare deals on priceline.

Then Joey whips out a Polaroid, pops off a direct-flash snapshot, tapes it up to the projection screen and we watch as the automatic "post production" begins to occur over a ~two-minute time period, dependent on temperature.

He then thanks the crowd, and walks out of the auditorium.

Total time: Five minutes.

I read this yesterday. Apparently the opinion is split on whether Joey walked out because he was making a statement or because he folded.
