Ok, here recently I have been scanning some old photos from old vacations. On this photo I am talking 1985. This is, of course, film photography and one of my parents took these pics. I was around 8 years old when these were taken....Well before my interest in photography. I can remember this place and I am pretty sure of the country but I would like to know exactly where it is. I know for fact that it is a train station...I am pretty sure that it is in Switzerland....If anyone can recognise the location that would help me out tremendously. I will be throwing other pics up on here at a later date...

If you have a bigger version I think the sign at the door might have some info that might help. I am totally guessing though. |

I think the RED sign with POST on it holds the key...any higher resolution of the image? |

It looks a lot like the station at Lauterbrunnen, at least as I remember it. But I was there 50 years ago, so...

It seems that there was a fairly famous cog railway that started here and went up the mountain....but I was fairly young and can't remember...This was taken around 25 years ago..

My Swiss co-worker confirms that it is Switzerland, based on the license plate design (one can make out the little red cross in the upper right corner) and from the yellow ad for Mary Long cigarettes, which is a Swiss brand. He thinks the architecture style is "Bernese." |

This looks similar - the building has obviously been modernised but the tree on the left looks similar

That train station is very close...I don't think it is the same one though.....The tree that is next to it is a different type of tree....I am still searching for the name however.
