hey ive got a 55mm micro 3.5 pc (Ai'd) and im looking for an extension tube to take it to 1:1, obviously a PK-13 is a lot of money so I was looking for some second hand cheaper alternatives, lookign around the M2 and Pk-3 come up, however I could find anywhere on the internet a definate answer to whether these adapters mount on the D60 body alrights without damaging something, and whether they would carry the aperature lever through from the body to the lens, ie keep the lens wide open when composing and automatically dropping it the the selected aperature on the lens barrel for the shot, can anyone shed some light?

Sorry for the late reply, I wanted to test my equipment to make sure I was correct with my memory. I personally use the Kenko extension tubes. Contrary to the label, they DO in fact work with AF-S lenses (tested with my D300 and 18-200 as well as Sigma HSM leneses). In regards to damaging things, using Kenko Tubes would not damage your mount- they are fine. I'm assuming it would only be MF, and further, that your question about aperture is a no. I tested using my Kenko's and 50MM 1.8 E Series (which came out after your lens) and aperture must be manually set via the aperture ring at all times. What you set is what you get. Based on the design of the lens, I'm assuming this will be true regardless of who's tubes you use. Hope this helps. If not, feel free to PM me.

its just the issue of the age of the tubes i guess, kenko ones would be designed for the new digital bodies sowould be fully automatic, i think the M2 tube came out when bodies and lenses were just becoming 'auto' (for the whole aperture stuff) so i dunno how they would be working, id get kenko ones but they cost loads compared to a second hand M2 plus im not sure whether the kenko tubes would allow true 1:1 with the lens in question
