A while back i watched this video of a man who travelled to all sorts of places and wondered around looking for people taking photographs, every now and then other tourists asked him to take a photo of them as a souvenir, like you do. But as soon as he got their camera he ran for it, so the family or a member of them chased him, he had a bunch of people ready with water and other things in the streets, whilst running away with their camera he took photos of them chasing behind him, and photos of them getting water splashed on them and other things they had planned. he did this with several people and then after stopping he gave them their camera and quickly explained haha, he then exhibitioned "their" photos in a gallery and invited the families to see it.
But i cannot for the life of me find the video again, and if anybody knows what the heck im talking about please help me find it, because i think it was pretty awesome.

I'll have to give it a watch later. Sounds like he has a mean sense of humor.

I can see the humor in it from my point of view in front of the computer.

But I often wonder how people who pull off pranks like this (like those on the TV show "Scare Tactics") don't end up seriously injured by the person that they are pulling the prank on.

He would have to explain very, very quickly to me that what he is doing is a photo project with my camera instead of stealing it.

I wouldn't give my camera to a stranger unless he was pointing a gun at me.

Then it's his, though I might ask if I could have the memory card out of it first if I thought I had a Free Study-worthy entry on it!.....8>)

Video is fun, but certainly it was setup, the first family would have noticed the video camera right away and wondered what was up. They also had different last names - actors.

Well, yeah, but the film is purportedly a dramatization of something that someone actually did; there supposedly WAS such a photographer and he supposedly DID pull stunts like this and then exhibit the results in a gallery. Nobody's trying to pass the film off as real events surreptitiously filmed. In fact, the film was made for a short-film contest. People had 30 days to conceive, storyboard, shoot, and edit their works, and could not spend more than 500 dollars.

Very nicely done, in my opinion :-)
