Trapster ..Red light cams done by GPS location, current location of police and traffic jams

Chase Bank app... I NEVER check my balance at an ATM, I know what it is before I walk up!

D&D finder!!! YES!

MX tube...download youtube videos to 'iphone'

WhitePages (I use it for REVERSE phone number Lookup!!!)

Yellow Pages *because I have white pages*** I do not use

Google Analytics (tells me everything about the people who visit my site...os, screen resolution, how they got there..etc!

CheapGas (tells me the prices around my GPS location and directs me there)

RedLaser (scan a barcode with the cam and it tells me prices and where to order cheaper! takes me to the link too!)

Speedtest (speedtest.net, best internet speedchecker)

Carpenter (an actual Carpenters level!!!)

Inet (network diags)

BigOven (when I need to impress the ladies by cooking!!!)

Emerengcy Radio (Police and Fire Streamed realtime)

Shazam, when I do not know the song I am listening to, will tell me who sings it, label, album and link to youtube video

Wifi Analyzer shows me when setting up a router what channel NOT TO USE (AMAZING!!!)

IMDB movie database

Facebook

Backround Check (for seeing if your brotherinlaw has a police record!)

NYC traffic cams.... (Good while stuck in traffic on the LIE because you wife did not want to get off
because the 'iPhone' said there is a 10 mile delay on the LIE yet the
Northern State was free of all traffic, but why trust the 'iPhone'!!!!! WHY OMFG WHY!!!!)

Home Depot (Because my ass go soo lasy now I have yellow pages, I did not want to type in THE HOME DEPOT and it
was just easier to get the app when at my brothers house when I needed to get SPACKLE!) Also used the
level on the 'iphone' because I was too lazy to walk to the shed!

CNN (PUSH NOTIFICATIONS) that is why I know about things before they hit the TV or Internet! Balloon boy was NYCA
before MSNBC and many other stations.

Earthquake (it is amazing how many earthquakes are upstate and around us!!!)

Lovin my new Sim

I tried to keep the thread Game Free but with games like Flight Control, AC-130, Star Wars Trench Wars, iSniper 3D, Sim City, Need For Speed Shift, Call of Duty ZOMBIES, Sonic the Hedgehog, Tank Tigers,MX Mayhem, Air Hockey, Lots of Card games and MANY others, this little LCD Panel has some SERIOUS GAMEPLAY!!!!

This thread could get REALLY BIG if I got into some of the games. Lets just say that
Hospital Waiting Rooms are not what they used to be anymore...it is now more like a
family event!!!!

Hell, I am only half way thru my Apps as I have a ton more, this one may be of some interest

I thought it would be good to have in case I wanted to plan a runway shot with the sun setting
at the end of the location. It would help me to determine what date that would be possible.

then there is this free app

if someone asked me how I took this image

I would have made this and emailed it to them

good for many light sources and has a ton of graphics!

What do you do with your 'iPhone'???

Everyone should have this or similar apps on their phones.

//www.adairsystems.com/sunrise/

I used this on my 'iPhone'... loved it.
Was one of the first things I checked before changing to an Android.

I like Magic Hour much better

I have not been back lately to update so here goes!

DSLR REMOTE!!!

I should have posted some more info on this awesome App

(YOU HAVE TO TEATHER YOUR CAMERA TO YOUR PC) and your 'iPhone' or iTouch can control your camera with NO WIRES!

Good for studio work where you camera is on a tripod....go to the subject and move there hand and snap....move their head
and snap...then show them the shots right on the 'iphone' without moving out of frame.

Edit all settings and bracket, time lapse and MUCH MORE. Edit ISO, Apature, Shutter speed...Change your white balance on the fly too! This is soo great. Here are some of the screens

LIVE VIEW

The setup...camera teathered to pc but 'iPhone' wirelessly controls thru the pc

Remotely shots this

9 shot HDR taken from 'iPhone' and edited later on pc..

(I know the HDR was not needed, but when do I ever need a reason to do a HDR?)

Here is my 'iPhone' being used as a HUD....works pretty well
App is Ihud lite = Free

uses GPS

FLIGHT TRACKER PRO

Like the other version

but lists many more flights!

Shows where they all are!!!

Shows WEATHER

If you do not have a good internet connection, the map will load first in low quality and then high,
kind of like when a JPG loads

(low quality image)

Zoom in and out and change the OVERLAY maps!!!

Do a search 50 miles around your location at the tap of a button or look up an airport with the airport code

Or view just a specific flight with many different overlays (only 2 shown here)

This app does SO MUCH MORE but do not want to get anyone bored! I LOVE IT!

Found some new HDR Programs to enhance my camera
Here are two

Here are the two original images taken with the phone

and the rendering

And One HDR of my car that I totaled the other day

This app lets me upload HD video to my smugmug page or facebook...Pics too

This lets me use any pc or mac from my 'iPhone'... Called TeamViewer

Lets me look at hundreds of pages of stats on my site...more than you could
ever need

for Old looking Photos

but the quality is awesome in full resolution!

THE BEST APP FOR POST PROCESSING in the 'iPhone' is PHOTOGENE
Yes I also had it in the first post but it is that good!

IHandy Carpenter (many tools in one)

and just some of the games for my two little men!

That is just the tip of the iceberg! I have so many more I could go on for
a few days!

Does it cook eggs? The day it cooks eggs is the day I go Apple. :)

Great post, thanks.

as well as about 200 games containing EGGS or breaking of EGGS, a few hundred cookbook and it seems
over 40 on just cooking eggs and timers. There are apps on ordering eggs so you do not have to cook them
and some that will let you turn on appliances in the home so it really will cook eggs for you. Now
if I can get it to clean the dishes.

P.S. I never liked Apple and still do not like Macs. I am trained Mac hardware and software and trained
in over 1000 pc hardware and Held certifications to work on every IBM, Dell, Packard Bell, HP, Compaq as well
as servers, Raid arrays, Mini's AS/400's, Monitor repair and all type printer repair including Every HP laser
certified from HP. I am not trying stick out my chest as much as to say I am not a yuppie raaa raa Steve
Jobs freak. I also support about 9 Droids and do not have to support 3 iPhones. ;)

Serious about this one....REALLY!

The app works by stressing the 'iPhone''s processor, battery and other functions to cause the device to overheat and hence become warm to the touch. In theory, this stressing shouldn't cause any damage to the device or yourself, but as always use it at your own peril.

It is insane how many apps there are....

Don't forget this one.

I have a caller ID spoofing app...what fun!

Caller ID will show any number I want..
ie 1-900-555-1212 or 1631-777-7777 or any number like my wifes or home or parents in AZ.

I called my brothers wife (brother is away on business in CT)

Called from HIS CELL PHONE NUMBER and said
"If Chris calls he left his cell phone in the Strip bar...I am pulling up to the house and will call
you back in one minute... Have another call and do not know how to flash his phone!"

Hung up and then spoofed our parents phone number in Arizona....HE IS SUPPOSE TO BE IN CT!!!!!!!!
"Hey, I just got in, did Chris reach you????"

Well, there was lots of swearing and yelling and I hung up the phone....My brother got a call on his cell phone promply!
CLASSIC!

He called up laughing soo hard I think he was crying! I love this app!!!!

I'll be receiving an iPod Touch Gen 4 for my many years of service to the company I work for and will take a look at these apps more closely.

First ones I will search for are:

Sunrise/sunset time
Astronomy, something to locate stars and constellations.
Moon cycles
Something to record music from a radio so I can find the info for it later on. I know the 'iphone' has an app that does that but I only have the touch.

More to come
