...and it was by far the saddest book I've ever read. What really struck me was the sentence 'Shoot all the Bluejays if you can hit em' but remember, it's a sin to kill a Mockingbird." This really comes back as symbolism when Dill runs out of the courtroom crying after the prosecutor put down Mr. Tom Robinson because he was black. It was just such a powerful book, I had to post. The racism is depicted in a very emotional way that really gets through to the reader. That's what makes the book so great.
