But that's ok. This was a funky shot for me, and I didn't think it would go over smashingly well. So I'm excited that it keeps bopping up to 6!

It started off around a 5.3 and has steadily dropped. Sucks cause I didn't think it was that bad and I chose this one instead of a different shot because a friend thought it looked better. I must learn to choose myself, even if it would have tanked at least it would of been my choice. Oh, and the lack of comments sucks too. Must be just a plain old shot that's not interesting. Oh well, live and let die. |

I just got a validation request too - second time this has happened to me (except the last time was AFTER the challenge had already ended). I don't understand why - is this just an arbitrary process or how is it determined which photos to validate. Are some chosen from every challenge and/or am I just lucky? (it is kind of nerve-wracking). Anyway, my score has dropped too in the last couple of hours - maybe the two things go hand in hand. Oh well. |

You will have received the request because someone voting may have doubts that you've kept within the editing rules.
Send off your untouched original, with processing steps and you will be fine.
Don't sweat it - if you've done nothing wrong, there is nothing to worry about.

members have an update button that they can push anytime they want and it will update the scores.  Hawkeyelonewolf has created a spreadsheet where you can enter your latest average & number of votes, and it calculates what you received.
So if you're a registered user, once an hour, you can get information like 8 votes averaging 6.5. Members can constantly hit the update button and can then figure out each individual vote as it comes in (by entering it into the spreadsheet)

I figure the voters just don't 'get' me - lucky I'm loved in the side challenges or my photographic self esteem may be non existent. |

there are a bunch of good shots and some good shots where the chosen perspective takes it to another level. i voted taking into consideration how the perspective affects the shot.. yes, sometimes i don't make sense..

About the same as yesterday. When I submitted that photo I thought it was really good (and it is really good); it just maybe doesn't have a dramatic perspective. Most of the photos in this challenge were EXCELLENT! I gave lots of hig scores.
I have decided that I have photographer's block when it comes to shooting for the challenges; as I went through some of my old pictures and found stuff that would have been a great entry for this. So, it's not that I can't shoot dramatic stuff; I just have trouble with assignments....HEY I remember teachers and profs saying that when I was in school LOL |
