I finally upgraded to cs4 from elements about a month ago.
However, I have masses of photos that I have rated and categorized in elements, and I use these features frequently.
I can't find a way to import my ratings and/or categories into bridge even though bridge does have the ratings ability.
Please, does anyone know how to bring the ratings over from organizer to bridge? The categories would be nice, but the ratings are by far the most important piece.
thanks! |

| Which version of elements are you trying to import from? If it's a version which includes Bridge then it might be as simple of copying from the elements area on your disk to the CS 4 area on your disk. |

It's version 7, but all the information was entered in organizer--it's possible that bridge existed, but if so, I never noticed it. When I view my photos in bridge, none of the ratings appear. |

| It looks like Bridge is only in the Mac version of elements and may only be in version 8. There still may be a preference/settings file that is stored with Elements that can be read and used by Bridge in CS4. |

This isn't an exact match to what you are doing but may work.
This link talks about moving from Elements on Windows to Elements on a Mac which is a transfer from the organizer to Adobe Bridge so the technique might work for you.

I did a quick, stripped down test of this, and it looks like it works.
thanks! Off to go to a massive amount of photos! |
