Just figured I'd let everybody know Topaz just released Detail V2.0, an upgrade from the 1.1 version. The interface is cleaned up and better looking, and they added some new presets that are interesting. It also has a single thumbnail that shows the proposed changes instead of the multitude on the side. The processing speed is light years ahead of the old version (although the pre-processing of the photo that is done when you first open the plug-in is still pretty damn slow). Lastly, they entered a new control, called "deblur" which has a strength and radius setting.
Here's an explanation of the Deblur from the manual:
Deblur
The deblur tab allows you to reduce blur in your image
so that your detail enhancements are clear, crisp and sharp for maximum effect.
Strength
Standard parameter to increase or decrease the amount of blur reduction in the image.
Radius
The larger the radius is, the larger the size of the de-blurred details will be. The smaller this parameter is, the smaller the size of the de-blurred details.
Additional Deblur notes:
1. Not every image requires use of the deblur tab.
2. Ideal use is for small occurrences of blurriness.
3. Most useful when resizing high-pixel count images.
4. Over-applying will result in image graininess.
5. Best when used in conjunction with the Small Details
and Small Boost sliders.
6. Preview zoom MUST be 50% or more or the Deblur feature will not be accessible and you will see the message below: Preview must be greater than 50%!
Download Detail V2.0 here.

Forgot to add that it's a free update if you already have Detail 1.1 or 1.0.

Very cool program, intuitive Lightroom style look and interface. Easy to use. I will use this one a lot more than v.1.

One warning though -- when I installed Detail 2 it did NOT import my user defined presets from v. 1.1. Not a huge deal for me, since I only had a few (I use Adjust more than Detail), but a warning to others who have more. Perhaps there's a way to recover them ... I haven't looked or tried, but you may want to.

I downloaded and installed it last night. Looks good. I'm pleased with my first effort with it.

I was about to post that this was out, but got beaten to the punch. Great improvement of the program, free upgrade to owners of version 1. Regarding the presets, you can find them in your version 1 folders and move them over. There's also an "import" tab in the interface to import presets, though I am having trouble getting the tree to find my presets in Version 1. I'm sure it's possible. Penny's moved hers over manually, no problem. I don't have any customized presets I love that much, so I'm starting from scratch with this version.

Regarding speed of initial processing, on my machine at least even this part is significantly faster.

R.
