I'm going to spend the weekend wasting loads and loads of film in Houston this weekend, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good sites to photograph? I've never been there before, so I don't really have any clue where I should go. I'm trying to stay as close to the downtown area as possible, but I'm up for anything. Help me out!! :)

I have a few suggestions..

Williams Tower & Wall of Water
Williams Tower

Downtown Houston has some nice things to shoot as well
Downtown + some surrounding areas

The Houston Zoo can be nice if the animals are awake
Houston Zoo

If you need directions to any of these let me know, also I know some good spots to get some wide shots of he Houston skyline

you may want to check the weather before you make the drive down here. Its raining and supposed to be raining until next week... yuck !!!

any way the wall of water is a local favorite, security guards have run people off from there with tripods, but I have never had a problem. you have to get in and move fast and keep the tripod out of site as much as possible. Actually you can really take your time, just be a little covert about it. they shut it off at 10:00PM (some times 9:00PM)

Parking is not very friendly around the wall of water, but a new parking garage opened up near by and its not far at all. There is always a chance for a nice romantic photo op. I got lucky one night and a man proposed to his girlfriend there, down on one knee and every thing, but the pic came out blurry...rats....
