I have no idea how this happened, but when I try cropping an image I do the selection and when hitting enter button I get this.
Any help will be appreciated!

I remember that happened to me once, but for the life of me I can't remember how I fixed it. I'm pretty sure it was something to do with one of the option boxes you get when you have the crop tool open.
Try selecting crop, then clear everything from the option boxes at the top before actually doing your crop, see if that helps.
Edit to add, just read all previous posts properly and it seems you have have solved it already :)
