I'm pretty new to digital photography and I have encountered some problems with sharing photos, mostly due to the size of jpg files and the lengthy process of downsizing pictures. Now I know that scaling down one or two pictures is quick and easy, but occasionally I am dealing with over 200 pictures at a time that I want to upload to the internet and share with peopel easily.
Does anybody know if there is a software that will go through a folder of jpeg pictures and scale them all down (like from 1600x1200 down to 800x600 or similar small size)?
Also, I am looking for an easy way to put my signature or a logo watermark in the corners of these photos, but once again going through 250 picures to do that is quite a lengthy process. Is there a software that will add the watermark to jpeg files automatically, or am I just dreaming?
Any suggestions on improving my efficiency on these tow matters would help greatly
Thank you

A quick Google found this for some batch resizing programs.
This one looks like it's free and should do the trick.
As for watermarking, if you are going to put the pictures online anyway and need a decent storage place, try fotopic.net. Their paid subscription service allows watermarks, very easy to setup etc. Prices are here. |

Photoshop has an "Actions" comand that will allow you to do these things automatically.

IrfanView, which is free, has a pretty powerful batch process utility. It is also indispensable for viewing a large amount of pictures quickly and will open pretty much any file type. |
