I've got to do some 35mm b&w work for my college course and I'm going to buy some infra red film (to use with a dark red filter I already have) as it's only 4 quid a roll but once developed I want to scan it in. Will it be better to scan the negative or print it fairly large and scan that? (I have access to a dark room at college so printing is not a problem)
cheers

the cool thing about negatives is you can do both! try out both methods and see which comes out better and let us know. i scan all of my negatives with my epson v500, but i don't really have any other options. it's way easier with medium format, but works ok with 35mm too. i suppose if you're strapped for time, just scanning the negatives is a bit quicker since it cuts out time in the dark room. good luck!
